PLASTIC:

Some of you may think that chopping down trees would be a negative factor against using bamboo and wooden products, however this would be incorrect thinking when you compare to what the production of plastic materials does to our planet and consider the huge wastage from this material, it not only causes problems on the land around us but is also harmful to living creatures in the ocean.

Plastic materials are used for many products as they are convenient but not very environmentally friendly, most take a large period of time to decompose and as recycling methods are still not efficient or cheap they then become a problem for storage and go onto to consume the land and also our sea's, Also the process of making plastic from its raw material can pollute our atmosphere so not only are we destroying our land and seas but we are also destroying our atmosphere.

WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVES?

Our answer to that is wood and bamboo in particular is bamboo.

now you might think that chopping large portions of rain-forest down would also be damaging to our enviroment. You would be correct in that thinking. so what is the solution?

Well most of our wood is either sources from recycled wood or sustainable wood meaning that for every tree that is cut don another 10 will be planted. So we are hoping that in the near future there will be more tree's planted and growing than there are cut down. As tree's take a long time to reach maturity we will not see the benefits for a while so this is why we try to use more bamboo than wood

BENEFITS OF USING BAMBOO:

Bamboo has a natural antibacterial that is a huge bonus for any products that it would be used for

Bamboo is also water resistant and so can do the same job that most plastic do.

Bamboo is also very durable and hard-wearing with a bit of flexibility.

Bamboo is a widespread plant that can be found all over the globe.

Bamboo has rapid growth meaning that for any bamboo plant cut down it can replaced very quickly making it highly sustainable.

so as you can see that although wood and bamboo is not 100% environmentally friendly it is the closest we can get to it at present.

Just like every human is different the same goes for wood and bamboo, every grain and color is different from one tree to another and so when using this material to make a product like sunglasses it gives a distinct uniqueness that you would not get with plastic.
